About
Hi, I’m Miranda — a local Seattle-area photographer, mother of two, and the founder of Little Sapling Studio.
As a mom myself, I know how meaningful these photos become over time. They’re not just pictures for a school file… they’re the portraits that get framed in hallways, tucked into keepsake boxes, and revisited years later with a “I can’t believe they were ever that little” kind of feeling.
That’s why I created Little Sapling Studio: to offer schools a more personal, relaxed, and modern picture day experience.
I’m not a giant photography corporation with assembly-line smiles and neon backdrops. I’m a local mom who genuinely cares about your kids, your families, and the experience your school has from start to finish.
My approach is calm & patient because let’s be honest, kids don’t always arrive ready for a full photoshoot. Some are shy. Some are wonderfully energetic. Some have very strong opinions about their shoes that morning. I get it! I have a toddler myself.
My goal is to create portraits that feel natural and true to who your students really are (while making picture day feel smooth and enjoyable for staff, families, and children alike!).
Little Sapling Studio is proudly rooted in the Pacific Northwest and honored to serve local schools with warmth, care… and a whole lot of patience for wiggles!
